HOW TO DYE YOUR HUMAN HAIR WEAVE?

HOW TO DYE YOUR HUMAN HAIR WEAVE?
DO IT YOURSELF!

Hi my loves! It’s been so long since I did a D.I.Y and decided to do one today. It’s the first in months and I think it’s one of the best because it will end up helping so many young girls and women out there looking for cost effective ways to dye their weaves. Have you or do you have that one weave that is so great BUT it’s the wrong color? And you end up not wanting to do it, so it just seats somewhere in a plastic bag in the corner in your room. Please note that I have experienced this D.I.Y on human hair weave only! I know it sounds risky but it worked out, I coulored my weaves, full black. I have asked around on “how much” it is to colour your human hair weave and everyone says it depends on the amount of hair, colour, style  and also on the type of weave, but the starting price is 2000KSH! And I am not complaining, I get it, but why pay for it when I can do it. It’s much more fun and it’s easy. I am so excited to show you how I did that, so let’s get working on some weave. It’s a good weave day in here baby!

WHAT YOU NEED!

-          HAIR DYE
-          HUMAN HAIR WEAVE (any color)
-          ALLUMINIUM FOIL
-          A TOOTH-BRUSH
-          GLOVES
-          A BOWL (OPTIONAL)
-          A WATCH

For the hair dye, these are the two I experienced on, and it worked out great. One is for “white” ethnicity hair and the other is for “African” hair. I would advise you to go for the “Renew Hair color” If you are not after permanent coloring, it comes with free conditioner, it’s only disadvantage is that, the color is not permanent, while the other hair dye “Intensity color” will last a lot longer, does not come with conditioner and takes longer minutes to get full black on the weave. The hair dye I bought at different prices, the “african one” 530 and the white one 430Ksh. The alluminuim foil was 79KSh. Depending on how much should be used for a bundle, I don’t know, I just dyed what I could, and what remained, I will do later on, because I also need to dye my natural hair black!

The braided weave, I dyed the day before. It used to be blonde, and if you can look closely, you can see I missed a spot. The brown weave was too much for the dye I had, so some of it remained.

STEP 1:
Get everything you need, separate your hair per rows, lay out your foil and then mix your dye. Some hair dyes come with mixing tools, so you might not need the bowl.

Hair Dye products come usually come with gloves, and I lost mine. I took it out one to read instructions and the gloves are stuck on the instruction paper and I don't know where I put it.

STEP 2: Apply your Dye on the hair and mix it well. Capital WELL! Do not forget to apply at the root too. Yes it will be covered when you put your weave on but for a cleaner look, apply everywhere.

STEP 3: Fold it in the foil and let it seat for a few minutes, the instructions usually say 15 minutes but I go longer, maximum 40 minutes, because it’s not on my head, so it doesn’t hurt and I won’t perfection.

STEP 4: Wash it with water, then with conditioner, and let the baby dry out if you don’t have a blow-dryer.  #LaundryDayHoodStyle

STEP 5: You are done! And I wanted to put this weave on today, but it got a bit late, so next week, I will have brand new hair and will show you how it all came out. But here it is. Brown weave turned black. And blonde weave dyed black also.

FINAL PRODUCT LOOKING LIKE A 9.5 (Because I missed a few spots) . Notice the glow from the “Renew hair dye” and the “Color intensity Hair dye”, “Renew” wins on the glow, but is not permanent like Intensity. So with intensity, I will have to work more on it, add some hair oil and blow dry, straighten or curl to make it all brand new! See you next weekend, because that's when I will do the weave.

This is my favorite job in the whole wide world. It doesn’t pay but I love it and believe one day it will start paying me. It’s so much fun and I had so much fun doing this, I hope you liked it. D.I.Y season is back!

BLANKETS AND WINE 55TH EDITION. WHAT DA HECK!

BLANKETS AND WINE 55th EDITION!
!WHAT DA HECK!

First of all, let’s scream “TGIIIIFFFF” my favorite day of the week, not only because it is Friday but also because I get to work half day and I have the whole day to pamper myself. Talk about pampering myself, last weekend I did something that most of you would think “She can’t afford that” and I will say “But she got connections”. Anyway, before I begin my critic on blankets and wine, let me just specify that it is my job as a blogger to be critical about almost anything and everything related to what I do. So I may hurt some feelings and maybe bring up smiles on some people’s faces. One thing about me is I don’t lie. I find it pointless. So let’s get down to business.

Foremost, Thanks to my awesome friend Jeremy who took me to one of the biggest, most fashionable, CRAZY event in Kenya. Jeremy and I have been friends for years and getting closer every day, I love his sense of his humor, hard work and persistence. He can get gold when there is no gold. By that I mean, He gets “us” deals and hook ups where there is no chance. There is no dull moment with him. Anything fashion related that B4BG must get its hands on, he is the MAN! I love him.

#MyFaceIsNotThatFlat

Sunday last weekend I went to blankets and wine for the first time and yes I did not pay entrance, “Told you I got connections, I know people who know people who know people that know people”, the tickets were 2500ksh per person. #ThatsShoes. Upon arriving at the event my first thought was “What da heck!” The venue was so big, and for short-sighted ladies like me, that’s bad news, the dresscode of people was totally a “What-da-heck” type of moment, You will find crazy, you will find cool, they have it all. The crazier the better! But that was not the only thing that shocked me or made me want to kick some people out.

I was amazed at how great the music was, we danced, we laughed and we drank. Not to the point of getting wasted though, “I don’t do that… uh … uh” Because I am a horny drunk, you don’t want to see me intoxicated so I stay away! Or I stand aside and watch people drink.

Personally I loved the event, it was great experiencing something different, what I did not like about “Blankets and wine” is the attitude. Yes you all cool swagged up people, I agree you look dope, you look fly, you smell good, but cut it with the attitude. It felt like an environment for show offs only and personally I am not a show off and bragging is not my thing, I like realness and down to earth people. So there you have it, the big “What-da-heck” moment I experienced. But let’s put up a sad romantic movie on a projector next time and watch them all turn human. #ThatWouldBeFun . There was another issue though… Not even Lord Jesus could help on that one.

If you do remember a few days ago it was raining like crazy! And on the day of blankets and wine, we got roasted! Literally Roasted. The Good lord laid us there and let the heat burn upon our heads. Have you even sat under the sun for so long that you look high on weed.  Seriously “What-da-heck!”. I am glad it wasn’t raining but it was too hot, Jeremy had to take his shirt off. Now mix that with the alcohol we had (I tasted) and the amount of people around… frickin what-da-heck! … By the end of the night the headache was so much that you can’t feel it anymore, because you are having so much fun.

Here is my most memorable and fun moment of the whole event! The fooooooodddd… I may be skinny, but I have a very close personal relationship with food, where does it all go? Feeds my attitude I guess. I love food! This world would be hopeless without it.

To everyone who has mentioned that they miss me, I just want to say, “Boo boos, I miss you too. I have had days I look so dope but can’t even find a second in my day to take a picture. Or if I can, there is no one to do that for me. But From the bottom of my heart I miss you too so much and I love you” Now who’s ready for a relationship tag or am I just drunk in love? Hehehe Follow me on instagram, so we can have each other’s daily updates. I love you all. @rshanphonsi or #b4bg and you’ll find me.

OOTD - WORKFLOW. WHAT I WORE

OOTD WORKFLOW

Hello everyone, I hope your week began well. If not, “We are in it together sistah”. I am just sitting here on my desk wondering where to start my thoughts from. I have 3 days and shit load of work to do and give a presentation. I am just sitting here and thinking “Where do I begin”. Have you ever been so stressed that you forget how to do what you are supposed to do? I am just panicking and praying everything works out before Thursday. “Holy crap, it’s less than 3 days, I am freaking out”. If that is not enough, I have other responsibilities to take care of for the day and I am more than multi-tasking. So to try to relax and not scream my lungs out, because that is how I shake of stress, I decided to do what I love most; blog. Visited a bunch of blogs and remembered I had an outfit post to put up. So here it is guys, me fashion flexin at work! Okay before work! :-D

Before we go into details of what I am wearing, let me just say, I made the pants, okay I remade them. They were large and of a different style, so a bit of cutting here and there. BAM! New pants.
OUTFIT DETAILS:
Gold chain Jacket : 100Ksh
Black trouser: 100Ksh (2012) Ngara
Shoes: 2300Ksh (Online)

If you haven’t seen my last post yet, you better! That last outfit was so hot, I think I found love. Relationship tag might come up, if I am not dumped before then because I am not a good cook. Taking this week to memorize all cooking recipes I can find, because my faith will be determined soon, whether she wife material or not. But whatever, she grind material. Let’s be like Jay and B. “You grind, I grind”.  I want to be the type of wife who counts money and not dirty dishes. Lol. I am just keeping it 100, some women love to cook, some of us love to make money. So where my soul mate at? Let’s grind baby!

I love random posts; they are most honest and more fun than planned posts. Speaking of planned posts, I am working on 2 awesome D.I.Ys beauty tricks that you will love, almost like the “60 ways to use Vaseline post”. Thank you for 30000+ views, makes me feel so loved. And I love you all to the fullest, more than this crush/love whatever it is I am feeling for that bae... Yes for real. I’d give it up for my blog; After all, heels are not designed to chase after love. tihihihi
Lovely day everyone!
Sneak pic of another outfit I totally loved!
