WHAT I WORE - LEATHER AND GOLD

WHAT I WORE - LEATHER AND GOLD

Hello my loves, I have missed you so much and spent the week thinking of what to post today, and trying to squeeze in time to take the photos. I hope everyone is doing great. I am doing awesome.
For those of you who are aware, I am not Kenyan, I am Congolese. But please note, I am from Congo Brazzaville. Not DRC. There are two Congos, so two countries with 2 different presidents, tribes, languages, etc. We both speak French and Lingala, although the Congolese from DRC speak Swahili too, so that makes them our brothers from another mother. But we are the best! Hehe.
So august 15 was our independance. we turned up that same night. I am the type of person, whom, if I have a new outfit, I will wear it about 5-10 times for a number of consecutive weeks, then get something new and forget about that one for months, even years. I got a new T-shirt, and every time I think about dressing up, it’s the first thing that comes to mind. This is how I styled it. Enjoy! I also got new hair that I love because so many people (men) are mistaking it for my real hair.

These photos were taken the morning after the “turn up”. Can you tell how much I love you? I wore dirty clothes so I could post on the blog because it’s been ages. With that topic in mind, who knows how to iron leather? I always burn them.

The Good Lord did not bless me with height but he blessed me with the gift of looking tall in photos. If I was this tall in real life, I swear to you all I would never seat down.

I know my heel is so short, but it’s because I can’t walk in high heels, short heels yes. Although I recently bought high high heels, but all I plan to do with them is walk five minutes then stand or seat. Don’t be ashamed to wear short heels, falling down in a perfect outfit is more shameful, but if you do, get back up and pretend nothing happened. Poker face.

Outfit details:
-      Leather T-shirt 800Ksh Ngara. (too expensive for my budget, but I was upset and didn’t feel like bargaining)
-      Leather tights 150Ksh Ngara (Back in the days when it was still a good place)
-      Gold ankle strap heels 2300Ksh Online
-      Gold Chain bracelet : Free (you all know I love free stuff)

WHAT TO WEAR TO A TV-SHOW

WHAT TO WEAR TO A TV SHOW

Hello guys, how is everyone doing? So a few days back I was called to appear on a TV show and the first thing on my mind, “What da heck!”. I am not into fame, some may think, “but you have a blog, people know you, you can’t avoid it”. But it’s for the right reason that people know me and I want to keep it that way. We are all sisters here, ain’t nobody better than anybody. I want to be known for my work, my blogging; my creativity; my originality (hoodness/realness) and other. The reason I am pointing this out is because the reason I was asked to appear on the show was not because of my blog, nothing related to it and it’s not what I want to be known for.  And the next question on my mind was “What to wear on TV?” I have acted before and it’s not the same thing, so I started to put some things together and there were Yays and Nays but I still want to share my options with you and give some personal advice.
P.S I am a good girl, I won’t do anything bad. Wait, Why am I trying to put a halo on my head, let’s be real, I am no angel, but I ain’t dumb. So let’s check out my little fashion faux pas and fabulousity.

OUTFIT 1
This is what I wore, and I really loved it. These are moments I thank God for giving me a flat stomach and a flat booty. I look so small and thin, Straight out of the runway, oh wait, no, straight out of a magazine. When shooting for this outfit, people on the streets thought I was crazy, stopping in the middle of nowhere and just posing. I got so many stares but it was fun.
Lace Body suit – 50ksh (Kawangware)
Red pants – 400ksh
Gold Strap ankle heels – 2300Ksh (Online) “I love dope deals”
Handbag – 2700Ksh (Online)

OUTFIT 2
This next outfit was one of the planned outfits I picked out for the day, I thought, it’s better to have darker colors on camera because maybe the brighter colors won’t help  when editing. So I went for plain color outfits. Leather is trending and I thought it would be a great choice, I look on trend and sexy but classy and fun.
Floral top – Gift
Leather skirt – 50Ksh
Heels – 2300Ksh

OUTFIT 3
Simplicity goes a long way sometimes, but sometimes it just goes crashing. In my opinion this is not a good outfit for TV, or it depends on the TV show. But I think, I look more like I am going clubbing, maybe it’s because I have the wrong hair and wrong shoes. They say shoes can make or break an outfit. I just crushed mine. The make-up is also a fail to me and the whole outfit is too simple, lacks style and personality.
Bodycon dress – 30Ksh (Don’t judge me)
Red pumps – 2000Ksh (Ngara)

Thumbs up if you think, I chose the perfect outfit to be on screen and check out some more of my look-book posts, similarly, a collaboration with local and international bloggers on fashion interviews, the link right below.

THE TUTU SKIRT

THE TUTU SKIRT

What’s up everyone... Here is the outfit I wore a few weeks ago, I am getting my hair done in a few days and I had this outfit pictures in my folders and I thought I should share it before I get a whole new different face. Also, There might be little to no DIYs These next few weeks, as I will be extremely busy with life. But when I get the chance to, I will squeeze in one or two.
My braids look so pulled and my face so fresh, I am going to miss my redhead. I love me with redhead and blonde sometimes, but I will most likely go brunette now… My head is a work of art; I need to try every hair style I can think of, before it’s too late. I love how different I look with each one, its fun. So here is my outfit of “that” day.

Floral crop top – 20ksh (Yes I get dope deals).
Tutu Skirt – 500Kksh (Toy market)
Golden strap heels – 2700 (Online)
Earrings – 300Ksh (Nairobi Fashion Market)
